U19
After Márton Bogdánfi's side recorded an emphatic seven-goal victory over Vasas in the previous round, a week later the goals continued to flow away to PAFC. Our U19 age group beat the Felcsút side by five goals in Round 16. Our academy players are now unbeaten in seven league matches. We are second with 40 points, just two behind leaders MTK.
Elite League, Round 16
PAFC–Budapest Honvéd FC 0–5 (0–1)
Honvéd: Balogh (Tarjáni 80.), Balázs, Horváth, Csörgő, Gáspár, Kovács (Schön 62.), Somogyi (Komlósi 72.), Meskó (Miták 72.), Kecskés (Joó 80.), Milicz, Russnák
Goals: Meskó (5.), Balázs (54.), Kovács (62.), Somogyi (65.), Miták (89.)
Márton Bogdánfi, head coach:
“We started the match at a good tempo and managed to score an early goal, but after that there was a spell when, even though our opponents did not create chances, we were not the team with more possession. We managed to react to that at half-time and in the second half we played with clear superiority, controlling the match both with and without the ball. Alongside the five goals we scored, it is particularly pleasing that this was our seventh consecutive match without conceding.”
U17
In the U17 competition, our team played out a four-goal draw with Ferencváros. Our academy player Ábel Kovács scored the opening goal and, although our opponents managed to turn the match around, Kornél Solymos equalised in the 83rd minute. Viktor Petrók's side are second in the league with 33 points and host Felcsút at the Bozsik Arena on Friday.
Elite League, Round 16
Ferencvárosi TC–Budapest Honvéd FC 2–2 (1–1)
Honvéd: Székely, Schwarcz, Kralicsek (Horváth-Garaba 77.), Varga-Sós, Szanka (Csákány 77.), För (Varga 66.), Érsek, Molnár, Domján (Szőke 66.), Kovács (Solymos 77.), Bokor
Goals: Kovács (27.), Solymos (83.)
Viktor Petrók, head coach:
“I am pleased that even against a physical, aggressive team we tried to impose our own style of play, and even happier that we managed to do so for most of the match. Even when we were behind, you could feel that we believed in ourselves. We did a lot to equalise, the substitutes came on well, and perhaps there was even more in this match for us. Hopefully we learn from the mistakes and can produce an even better performance in matches like this in the future.”
U15
Our U15 team were unable to keep the three points at home, suffering a two-goal defeat to PAFC. Although András Vass gave us the lead, the visitors managed to equalise and then doubled their advantage in the second half. Our side are eighth in the league with 20 points.
Elite League, Round 16
Budapest Honvéd FC–PAFC 1–3 (1–1)
Honvéd: Petró, Nyiri, Schill (Magyar 46.), Józsa, Malomsoki, Menyhárt, Vass (Balázs 57.), Varga, Szabó (Palásti 41.), Szijjártó, Gerebenes (Bolyki 54.)
Goal: Vass András (7.)
Tamás Szamosi, head coach:
“We started the match very well and scored a beautiful goal at the end of a fine attack. After that we relaxed a little and made several individual mistakes, as a result of which our opponents equalised. The second half was as if we had forgotten everything we had been doing well recently. We produced our worst football and attitude of the season, and the result was that the visitors turned the match around and won it.”
U14
Our U14 age group beat ETO Academy by two goals thanks to strikes from Olivér Oke Olamide and Miron Marte. Head coach Djordje Kamber highlighted after the match that his team played with focus from the first minute and took to the pitch with great determination. Our academy players visit DVTK in the next round.
Elite League, Round 20
Budapest Honvéd FC–ETO Academy 2–0 (1–0)

Goals: Oke Olamide Olivér (10.), Marte Miron (43.)
Djordje Kamber, head coach:
“I think we deserved to take all three points. The team were focused from the first minute and went onto the pitch with great determination. We were disciplined and compact defensively and allowed our opponents few opportunities. The organisation of our play is not yet at the level we want. Going forward, we need quicker and braver decision-making to improve the effectiveness of our attacking play.”
