U19
Our U19 team began the 2026–2027 season away to ZTE FC and drew 1–1 with the hosts in the opening round. We took the lead in the first half through Milán Balaskó, but Zalaegerszeg equalised after the break.
Elite League, Round 1
ZTE FC–Kispest–Honvéd FC 1–1 (0–1)
Line-up: Czinki – Rankó, Ferencz, Csörgő, Komlósi, Miták (Szanka 70.), Varga Z. (Vata 67.), För (Érsek – at half-time), Bokor, Domján (Horváth-Garaba – at half-time), Balaskó (Molnár 74.)
Our goalscorer: Balaskó (14.)
Márton Bogdánfi, head coach: “We found it difficult to adapt to the conditions and were unable to play our own game. Despite that, we managed to take the lead, and in the first 20 minutes we could even have decided the match, but we lacked concentration in front of goal. Our defending was solid in the first half and we allowed our opponents very few opportunities. We conceded from a set piece in the second half, but reacted well. We had chances to win the match, but unfortunately we were unable to take them.”
U17
Our U17s also began their league campaign away from home, in Kisvárda, and did so in some style. Viktor Petrók's team came from behind to record a convincing three-goal victory in the opening round of the Elite League. Várda Labdarúgó Akadémia took the lead in the 16th minute, but goals from Botond Rotár, Botond Szabó, Martin Vérten and Tolani Babalola turned the match around and secured a 4–1 win for our side.
Elite League, Round 1
Várda Labdarúgó Akadémia–Kispest–Honvéd FC 1–4 (1–0)
Line-up: Székely – Marinyák, Barton, Solymos, Hegyes, Vérten, Jakab (Gerebenes 75.), Rotár (Domány 65.), Völgyi, Szijjártó (Meggyes 75.), Szabó (Babalola 79.)
Our goalscorers: Rotár (48.), Szabó (57.), Vérten (68.), Babalola (84.)
Viktor Petrók, head coach: “We did not start the match well; our opponents were more proactive in the first 20 minutes. Our game then improved gradually. Although we were still making several mistakes, we began to play with an increasingly better approach. In the second half the quality of our play was also at the required level, and it helped a great deal that this was reflected in goals. What mattered most to me was that, even while we were behind, I could see the team striving to follow our principles. That is the main reason I am pleased that we managed to turn the match around. We still have a lot of work ahead of us and need to play with more patience, but congratulations to the team on the match and on the work they have put in over the past two weeks!”
U16
Our U16 side hosted the Vasas age-group team. The visitors took the lead as early as the 7th minute, but soon afterwards we equalised through Milán Malomsoki. Our opponents scored twice in the second half, however, so our U16 team ultimately opened the season with a 3–1 defeat.
Elite League, Round 1
Kispest–Honvéd FC–Vasas Kubala Akadémia 1–3 (1–1)
Line-up: Petró – Palásti, Nyiri, Schill (Magyar 68.), Józsa (Balázs 68.), Menyhárt (Bolyki 63.), Vass, Varga B., Unger (Sólyom – at half-time), Szabó D., Malomsoki
Our goalscorer: Malomsoki (32.)
Tamás Szamosi, head coach:
“Unfortunately, having more possession did not count for much in today's match. We repeatedly failed to convert the chances we created, while our opponents managed to score from almost every one of their few opportunities and therefore deservedly took the three points. We still have plenty to correct. This week we will work on eliminating those mistakes so that we can play more effectively in our next match.”
U15
Djordje Kamber's team made a successful start to the season with a 4–1 home victory over DVTK. Noel Kovács scored twice, while Gorán Rodek and Péter Ottó contributed one goal each to the win.
Elite League, Round 1
Kispest–Honvéd FC–DVTK 4–1 (3–1)
Line-up: Mező (Tóbiás 59.) – Oláh-Sebők, Tóth Cs. (Ottó 59.), Marte (Karácsony 53.), Nnadi, Rodek, Németh, Kovács (Mocsel 65.), Rácz (Gerencsér 53.), Hanzély (Miklós-Kerper 59.), Kamber (Babalola 65.).
Our goalscorers: Kovács N. (5.) (36.), Rodek (20.), Ottó (80.)
Djordje Kamber, head coach:
“We started the match well, took the initiative and managed to score early, before our opponents equalised with a long-range shot. In the opening phase we had some difficulty dealing with their high press. Conceding did not unsettle us and we continued to focus on our own game and the tactics we had discussed. We gradually took control and managed to extend our lead before half-time. Based on the chances we created, we could have gone into the break with an even bigger advantage. We played with more confidence and control in the second half. We gave our opponents little space while creating several big chances ourselves. However, we lacked the necessary concentration and precision in front of goal. Overall, we can be satisfied with our performance and attitude. Congratulations to the boys on a deserved victory!”
U14
With the ETO FC match from the opening round postponed, Richárd Takács's team faced Ferencváros on Saturday. Our age-group side drew 0–0 with a well-organised green-and-white team and therefore started the season with a point.
Elite League, Round 2
Ferencvárosi TC–Kispest–Honvéd FC 0–0 (0–0)
Line-up: Tóbiás (Pándi 41.) – Varga O. (Izing 41.), Balla, Krapfel (Németh 41.), Nyerges, Berki (Walkó 41.), Pályka (Várdai 51.), Baji (Jamrik 61.), Juhász G., Gál, Marsalla (Juhász B. 51.).
Richárd Takács, head coach: “We faced a well-organised opponent and generally managed to have the upper hand in open play, but despite that we created few dangerous opportunities. We were unable to convert our chances during the match, and neither could our opponents, who also had several opportunities to settle the contest after we lost possession.”
