In the seventh minute Vingler headed Nagy's free kick from the left onto the post. After that neither goal was seriously threatened for a while: for us Lőrinczy sent a free kick over, while Farkas tried to slide a cross from the left into the net. In the 35th minute Nagy again stood over a free kick, this time hitting the target, but Dúzs brilliantly tipped the effort heading under the bar over the top. In the 38th minute Lőrinczy tried his luck from distance and Gyurján palmed the shot heading towards the bottom-left corner behind for a corner. Following the corner the Szentlőrinc goalkeeper also had to save Benczenleitner's header.
In the 56th minute we created another big chance in front of the visitors' goal: Hangya surged forward down the left and found himself one-on-one, aiming for the bottom-left corner, but Gyurján saved again. Zsolt Laczkó made a change in the 70th minute, Simon replacing Farkas, and he almost immediately got into a shooting position, but his effort missed the target. A few minutes later Nagy curled an effort from 20 metres into Dúzs's hands.
Szentlőrinc's set pieces carried danger throughout the match and unfortunately in the 80th minute our opponents scored from one: Keresztes met Nagy's free kick and glanced the ball past Dúzs into the net. (0-1)
The match also came at a cost: late on our player Alex Szabó had to be carried off on a stretcher after colliding with the Szentlőrinc goalkeeper.
We pushed on after that but could not create another chance, so Szentlőrinc left the Bozsik Aréna with a one-goal victory.
Our first team will travel to Békéscsaba in the next round on Sunday, October 27.
