On Saturday we face the leaders of the second division in our first match of the winter preparation period.
The game will mark the debut of our new head coach Tamás Feczkó, while our new players (Gergő Rácz, Patrik Pinte, Bonifác Csonka, Ákos Baki, Dominik Csontos) could also make their first appearances in Kispest colours.
About our opponents:
- Kozármisleny have already played their first friendly, beating Szentlőrinc 1-0 on Wednesday thanks to a goal from Csaba Máté
- The blue-and-whites collected 29 points during the autumn and lead the second-division table
- Several former Honvéd players are in the Kozármisleny squad: Olekszandr Kosovchuk moved to the Baranya side from Honvéd a year ago, while Dominik Cipf is a Kispest-trained forward who made 18 NB I appearances in red and black. This week Kozármisleny's squad gained another MFA graduate, as we loaned Zalán Átrok to the blue-and-whites for six months.
- From our current squad, Balázs Rácz previously played for Saturday's training opponents in the autumn of 2023
- The team's coach is our former head coach Máté Pinezits
Our first team has faced Kozármisleny five times so far, three of those meetings coming in the past year and a half. The all-time record currently favours them, with the Baranya side winning four of the five matches. We last beat them in February last year, when Dávid Holman's brace secured a 2-1 victory. Our most recent meeting was in August, when goals from Krisztián Kirchner and Péter Horváth gave Misleny a two-goal win.
We will provide written coverage of the match and a video highlights package will also be produced.
