Key information and match facts – everything you need to know ahead of the clash with Gyirmót FC Győr.

Our team continues the season on Tuesday in Round 4 of the MOL Hungarian Cup, this time playing away at Gyirmót FC Győr. In the previous round, our side secured a confident 7–0 away victory against Bajai LC, while our midweek opponents hosted Aqvital FC Csákvár in the third round and earned their spot in the next stage with a 1–0 win.

Regarding the league, Gyirmót currently sit fifth in NB II, just three points off the promotion playoff spot and four points adrift of the title-winning position. Our cup opponents started the season in fine fashion: remaining unbeaten in the opening four rounds with three wins, sitting second in the table, level on points with leaders Soroksár SC. In the latest round, they faced Soroksár SC and played out a high-scoring 3–3 draw. Gyirmót forward Csanád Novák has already scored seven goals, which currently places him second in the league's top scorers list.

The two sides last met in 2025 in NB II. On that occasion, our team claimed a 2–1 home victory over Gyirmót, but in our last away clash we were unable to take any points, suffering a 3–1 defeat. As for our team: following a draw against Újpest and a win in Nyíregyháza, we suffered a painful defeat against Debrecen, and although we are visiting a dangerous and tricky opponent, victory and progression are the clear objectives. Ádám Somogyi continues to battle an injury, but Dominik Csontos is available again after his illness, having already played a half against Loki. The only question is how our head coach will approach his team selection – who he will place his trust in – in Gyirmót, having fielded a very strong starting eleven in Baja as well.
