Following the victory in Nyíregyháza, another important match awaited us, this time at the Bozsik Aréna against 7th-placed Debreceni VSC, who were just three points ahead of us. The perfect football atmosphere was guaranteed early in the afternoon by Ultras Kispest, celebrating their 35th birthday, joined by fellow Kispest supporters. The Északi Kanyar (North Curve) did themselves proud once again: they welcomed the teams with an incredible choreo, creating a fantastic atmosphere practically from the opening whistle – matched by the visitors' traveling contingent of a few hundred fans. Maurizio Jacobacci named an unchanged starting lineup for the first time this season, while Dominik Csontos was back on the bench following his illness. In the opening quarter of an hour, our side mostly looked to unlock the visitors' defense down Pinte's flank, but no clear-cut scoring opportunities were created in front of Andreev's goal. In the 16th minute, following Dzsudzsák's wide free kick, the ball bounced fortuitously into the path of Ákos Szendrei, who slotted it between Hadzikic's legs into the net; however, VAR rightly disallowed the goal due to a handball. In the 25th minute, in a sign of mutual respect, both sets of supporters paid tribute to each other's iconic figures: first, the Kanyar chanted "Gábor Komáromi!", followed by chants of "Gergő Bordás!" echoing from the away section.
In the 28th minute, our former player Dominik Kocsis received a great pass and aimed for the bottom left corner, but Hadzikic pulled off a brilliant save to turn the ball away. In the 34th minute, following a set piece, Kocsis had another chance from a promising position, but Marí threw himself in the way to head clear heroically. In the 42nd minute, Marí held up the ball and found Pinte, who went on a fine solo run and aimed for the bottom left corner, but his effort lacked power. After the break, Csontos replaced Szamosi and had an attempt right in the first minute of the second half, though his chipped effort was held by Andreev. In the 50th minute, we produced a dangerous attack: Marí held the ball up well and played it out to the right flank; from Pinte's cross, Pablo García fired over the crossbar. In the 54th minute, from Dzsudzsák's cross, Boskovic headed into our net from close range (0–1). In the 68th minute, substitute Baldoni sent an effort just wide of the left post. In the 72nd minute, Somogyi laid the ball off for Csontos, who tried his luck from the edge of the area, but Andreev got down well to save.
In the closing stages, chances fell at both ends, but in the 87th minute, substitute Vilmos Dénes found himself with a huge opportunity out of virtually nowhere, calmly finishing to double his side's lead and seal all three points (0–2).
Next week, our team faces two competitive fixtures: first, we travel to Gyirmót on Tuesday with a 19:00 kickoff in Round 4 of the Hungarian Cup, before hosting Kisvárda Master Good behind closed doors in Round 12 of the OTP Bank Liga.

Maurizio Jacobacci:
We have come through a tough match, which is what we anticipated. We knew we were facing a technically gifted opponent tonight, yet the game was not lost because of their technical quality. We lacked grinta—the drive to win the second balls, which would have allowed us to create more chances. In the first half, we wanted to stay compact defensively and therefore conceded possession. That was a tactical calculation made for this game, but in such scenarios, we must be much sharper on the break. I am not satisfied with what I saw from our set pieces: neither the corners nor the free kicks—particularly in the first half—were executed well. Here too, I must say we lacked that extra cunning and determination needed to avoid conceding at all costs. Ultimately, both goals conceded highlighted that the opponent managed to capitalize on our mistakes.
Gert Remmel:
Essentially, we picked up right where we left off last week. Today once again, we had the strong performance, the result, and the commitment from the players. We are not just talking about eleven players, as we have many more in the squad, and the bulk of the work is done in training sessions. There is fierce competition for every position, which positively impacts our performance and its standard, helping to give us a better chance of winning. And today we achieved that.
