As usual, the draw for the next round of the MOL Hungarian Cup (Round 4 in our case) was made live in the M4 Sport studio. Thanks to the hand of Bene Ferenc (the coach led our U17 team last season), following our win over Kelen we will face the winner of the Mezőörs–Paks tie in the round of 16.
Because of the torrential rain that fell on their pitch, Mezőörs announced last Friday that they could not stage Saturday's cup match and wanted to postpone it until 9 October. The Hungarian Football Federation rejected the request, so Paks progressed with a 3–0 victory. However, the team playing in the Győr-Moson-Sopron county championship submitted a request for review to the federation, on which no decision has yet been made, so for the time being we do not know who we will face in the next round of the cup.
What is certain is that the official matchday for the round of 16 is 30 October. The tie will be decided over one match; if it is level, extra time and then penalties will follow.
If we play Paks (as happened a year earlier), the match will be held at Bozsik Arena; if we face Mezőörs, we will play away.
