Budapest traffic played a trick on our Israeli visitors, so our second pre-season match began fifteen minutes late. The first chances fell to the visitors: first Rácz had to save a curling effort from Haziza, then the Israelis put a one-on-one chance wide. After the 30th minute goalkeeper Yermakov was repeatedly called into action at the other end. First Simon headed Pauljevic's cross from the right towards the top-right corner, forcing the Ukrainian goalkeeper into a save. A few minutes later he got down to the bottom-left corner to stop our right-back's shot. The home chances did not end there: Simon headed Zuigeber's corner goalwards, but once again Yermakov saved.
For a long time in the second half only Kispest created chances. In the 52nd minute Somogyi won the ball in the opposition half and played it at the right moment to Simon, but our young forward's left-footed shot was gathered by the goalkeeper. Five minutes later Simon was involved again, passing to Zuigeber despite being surrounded by three defenders. The Israeli goalkeeper came out well, and Simon shot the rebound towards goal, but Otemir saved with his foot.
Tamás Feczkó made almost a full line change in the 60th minute, and the young players immediately created another clear chance, but Földi could not beat Otemir either. In the 75th minute Maccabi Haifa took the lead out of nowhere. Severina went past Pintér on the right; our defender tried to tackle with a slide inside the penalty area, but the referee awarded a spot kick: David calmly converted into the bottom-right corner, deciding the match (0–1).
Our team will soon be back in action: on Saturday we face relegated NB I side Kecskemét in Telki.
