On Thursday we held our dress rehearsal for the league campaign against Kosovo top-flight side KF Prishtina E RE.

We played our third friendly in Turkey against Kosovo side KF Prishtina E RE. Tamás Feczkó was unable to call on Kevin Varga in addition to Bonifác Csonka, István Pekár and Ákos Sigér, who had not travelled with the squad, as our newly signed attacker – who scored his first Honvéd goal against Slovacko – had to miss the match through illness. Our head coach therefore fielded a line-up similar to the eleven seen in the first match, although Ádám Szamosi started in place of Ádám Somogyi and Tibor Szabó replaced Barna Kesztyűs.

We had to wait until the 10th minute for the first chance. Ujváry appeared in the attack on the right and Smakiqi pushed his shot wide. Kosovo chances followed: first Berisha arrived centrally after Zekolli’s cross but failed to make proper contact, allowing Tujvel to collect; just under a quarter of an hour later our experienced goalkeeper comfortably saved Toni Gomes’s weak effort. The biggest chance of the first half fell to Medgyes. Our winger received an excellent through ball in a centre-forward position, but shot past Smakiqi and wide of the bottom-left corner. The second half was all about Medgyes, who created chances one after another. First he fired towards the bottom-left corner, but Morales turned it behind for a corner; the resulting set piece again found our attacker in the middle, who volleyed narrowly wide of the far bottom corner. In the opening quarter-hour of the half he also threatened with a low attempt and a one-on-one chance from the left, but Prishtina goalkeeper Morales saved on both occasions. Unfortunately, the Kosovo side converted their only major chance of the second half. Dobratiqi held up the ball on the left and, after a shooting feint, aimed at the near post; the ball slipped through Tujvel’s hands and ended up in the left corner (1–0).

The score did not change before the final whistle, so we concluded our Turkish tour with a one-goal defeat.

We begin the spring season against Videoton FC Fehérvár on February 2.
