Our U14s played two matches last week. On Wednesday we hosted DAC and recorded a convincing victory, but at the weekend Vasas took all three points away from the Academy. Gergely Fűzfa’s side hosts PAFC from Felcsút on Saturday in its final league match of the year.
Budapest Honvéd – DAC 5–1
Goalscorers: Marte M., Hanzély K., Schwak B., Gerencsér E., Oke O.
Gergely Fűzfa, head coach:
Apart from the first 15 minutes, we played with the right intensity and strength. In an excellent international match we were able to practise the elements we work on in training, both with the ball and without it. We scored some nice goals and, alongside several good individual performances, managed to record a victory.
Budapest Honvéd FC U14 – Vasas Kubala Akadémia U14 0–2 (0–1)
Honvéd: Ehmann – Málint, Oláh-Sebők, Horváth B., Marte, Oke (Palaga, 41.), Nnadi, Kamber (Babos, 41.), Rácz (Tóth G., 41.), Hanzély, Gerencsér.
G: Kovács B. (6.), Mihalusz (52.)
Gergely Fűzfa, head coach:
Neither our play with the ball nor our play without it was at the required level. We were sluggish and timid, which our opponents took advantage of, and overall they deserved to win the match.
Our U17 team slipped up somewhat unexpectedly in Kisvárda, and with both MTK and Ferencváros among our rivals winning their matches, we dropped back to third place on the podium. Our team can respond first this Saturday against Szeged in the Hungarian Cup, then on Friday, December 12 against ETO UNI FC.
Várda Labdarúgó Akadémia U17 – Budapest Honvéd FC U17 1–1 (0–1)
Honvéd: Czinki – Schwarcz, Kralicsek, Varga-Sós, För (Happe 91.), Molnár Á. (Varga 65.), Domján (Baki 80.), Bogdán, Bokor, Kovács (Shodunke 65.), Balaskó.
G: Terziohlo (67.), while Bokor (32.).
Sent off: Czinki (90.).
Viktor Petrók, head coach:
For most of the match we did not implement what we wanted. We had little possession, made many technical errors and rushed our play. Our attitude improved in the second half, and that is what we need to build on.
Our U19 team travelled to Miskolc and eventually left with three points thanks to Erik Kovács’s goal. As MTK also won, the gap between the two Budapest sides remains five points. In our final league match of the year, on December 12, we host Szeged-Csanád Grosics Akadémia, but before that, on Saturday December 6, we travel to Gyirmót in the fourth round of the Hungarian Cup.
DVTK U19–Budapest Honvéd FC U19 0–1 (0–0)
Honvéd: Balogh B. – Balázs, Horváth Á., Csörgő, Schön, Kovács E. (Tasi, 76.), Somogyi T. (Miták, 76.), Meskó, Kobela (Molnár-Czétényi, 59.), Kecskés, Szabó Á.
G: Erik Kovács (59.)
Sent off: Gergő Tasi (88.), Ákos Szabó (90.)
Márton Bogdánfi, head coach:
In the first half both teams pressed high and aggressively, which led to many turnovers and little continuous play. In the second half we were physically stronger and created more chances, but we could not finish the match off. Our defending was stable, and even after the double sending-off we played with discipline. We need to work on deciding matches like this earlier.
Our U15s have already completed their league fixtures for the autumn season, but a series of international friendly matches awaits them this week. Before that, however, we hosted the corresponding age-group team of Komárom VSE in a friendly.
Tamás Szamosi, head coach:
Taking advantage of the period without league matches, we met Komárom VSE in the spirit of friendship and togetherness. It was good to be together and play football again, and we look forward to welcoming them again! On Saturday we will face Red Bull Salzburg’s age-group team.
