The two teams met in pre-season for the third consecutive preparation period. After our 4–0 win last summer and 3–2 victory in Kispest in January, TFSE gained revenge this time, winning the match through Gaál's 17th-minute penalty.
Head coach Gábor Kovács's assessment:
“This was our second friendly of pre-season, and at team level we managed to implement more of the game elements we have been practising and developing in training. In attack, however, once again we only got as far as creating chances; we are still struggling to score goals.
Individually I expect much more from the players, because this level of effort is not enough to win, as we have now experienced for a second time.
Defensively we did not allow our opponents to create chances, but we gifted the visitors an avoidable penalty.
We have a lot of work to do in the near future and must improve the quality of our daily training so that we can leave the pitch as winners after the final whistle!”
Our second team has just one more test remaining: the reserve side of Dunajská Streda AC visits Magyar Futball Akadémia on Tuesday from 11:00.
Next Sunday Gábor Kovács's players already face a home league match against Dabas. The kick-off times for the autumn fixtures are now also available at the link below – among other things, it has been confirmed that we will play the opening match of the group.
