Following a 2–2 draw against Hódmezővásárhelyi FC, István Körtvélyesi's side hosted BKV Előre on Sunday.
The match did not start favorably for our side, as an enforced substitution had to be made in the opening minutes: following an awkward step, Botond Schön suffered an injury and was replaced by Dominik Forró. Despite the early setback, we didn't have to wait long for the opening goal: in the 6th minute, Kristóf Kenéz gave us the lead. Shortly after, Dominik Hancz extended our advantage with a brace, taking our 20-year-old forward to eight league goals in the 2026–2027 season.
We headed into the second half with a three-goal cushion, during which Dominik Forró, who had come on as an early substitute, also found the net, and in the 78th minute, Márk Szelényi joined the scoresheet as well. The visitors pulled one back in the closing stages, but our team ultimately kept all three points at home with a confident 5–1 victory.

István Körtvélyesi, head coach:
“We managed to execute what we had planned for the match. We dominated throughout the game and scored some very fine goals. Our play was dynamic from start to finish, and our attacking roles were well structured. Distances were good, and our rhythm changes were of high quality. We could have produced more runs in behind, but we will look to improve on that in the coming days. On behalf of the team, I wish Boti Schön a speedy recovery! Congratulations to the squad!”
