Ákos Baki scored the opening goal of the match after meeting Dominik Csontos’s cross superbly and heading into the visitors’ net. We could not celebrate for long, however, as three minutes later the visitors equalised through Dániel Németh. In the second half our team again scored from a set piece: Kevin Varga took the corner, which Csontos converted.
“We started the first match against Vidi like this as well. Before the game I said that I would not mind if I did not score; the important thing was for the team to win. We won this time too, so I am very happy” – Ákos Baki began his assessment. The defender also scored away to Fehérvár at the start of the season.
“We were a little angry because we were not playing our own game. In the first half we adopted Vidi’s style of play and there were a lot of transitions. At half-time we managed to put things in order, and in the second half we deservedly decided the match." – he added.
“I think this was a typical first match, which is also why all three goals came from set pieces rather than open play. Both teams really wanted to win, but I am glad that we were the ones able to win at home. It means a great deal that the supporters came out even in such cold weather. Some NB I clubs could envy our fan base” – Dominik Csontos summed up.
