As is well known, the MOL Hungarian Cup also gets under way this weekend – Budapest Honvéd will only enter in Round 3, due in mid-September – but NB III teams are already involved this weekend, so there is no league round. However, as has been the rule for years, a sports organisation may enter only one team, so reserve sides do not play competitive matches this weekend, giving them an opportunity to prepare for the midweek round.
On Friday, our second team visited Ferencváros II, who finished last season with only one league defeat, and recorded a 1–1 draw. The final score was established right at the beginning of the match, with Kristóf Csernák scoring our goal in the 10th minute.
The league campaign continues on Wednesday in Szeged against Szeged-Csanád Grosics Akadémia II, while next Sunday Vasas II visit the MFA.
