The league title is getting closer for the Old Boys. In 16 matches they have 15 wins and only one draw, while Souleymane Youla has been scoring freely for weeks and currently leads the scoring chart with 36 goals. We now have a three-point advantage and a game in hand over MTK, champions of the last two editions, and on Tuesday we can take another step towards the gold medal against Mélykút.
Our second team’s league match against Tiszaföldvár from round 20 has already been given two new dates because of bad weather and an unplayable pitch. Gábor Kovács’s side is seventh, six points ahead of its midweek opponent, and after two defeats wants to return to winning ways.
On Thursday the Oldboys also have a league match. Attila Plókai’s side visits District II in round 17 and could move into second place with a victory.
On Sunday our women’s team hosts PMFC. The Pécs side has one point more, but has also played one match fewer. Later that day our second team also 'enters the ring for points', and wins in both Tiszaföldvár and Szeged could lift the side as high as sixth.
Weekly schedule of our senior teams:

Of our youth teams, the U14s will play on Friday at 14:00 away to Vasas-Kubala Akadémia instead of the originally scheduled Saturday date. Tamás Szamosi’s team goes into the Budapest derby against the Angyalföld side in good form, with three straight wins.
István Körtvélyesi’s players are unbeaten in four league matches (3 wins, 1 draw) and head into their match against 10th-placed Illés Akadémia from fourth place. Since PAFC, which has one point more so far, hosts second-placed Ferencváros, a win could even see us overtake the Felcsút side by the end of the round.
Our U16 side has also collected victories in the last three rounds and currently sits second in the table. If Viktor Petrók’s team were to take the three points against Illés Akadémia as expected and leaders Vasas lost to third-placed Pécs, then next week’s round could bring a six-pointer against Vasas for first place.
Our academy players taking part in the Puskás-Suzuki Cup in May lead the standings on points dropped, but cannot afford many mistakes from here because Vasas currently tops the table. Márton Bogdánfi’s players face three home league matches in a row, against ETO FC Győr, Illés Akadémia and then DVTK. Győr is fifth, only three points behind third-placed Szeged.
Our U19s celebrated a win again after three matches and although Felcsút has pulled well clear (36 points compared to our 24), Vasas (28 points) has played two games more, while DVTK (28) has a game in hand and Kisvárda (27) is also within reach. Especially as László Takács’s team travels to bottom-placed UTE on Saturday.
