On Wednesday we took part in a special match in Tarpa, where football served a noble cause. At the centre of the occasion was a local boy, Áron Kun, whose medical treatment we sought to support as one community. The match also marked the naming of Tarpa's main pitch. From the opening whistle it was clear that the occasion was about more than who would leave the pitch as winners. Although we did everything we could to win and both sides had chances, neither goal was breached and the match ended 0–0.
The most important thing was that we took the field together for a good cause and could contribute to Áron Kun's recovery. The power of togetherness could be felt both on the pitch and in the stands, giving the event a special atmosphere. We are proud to have been part of this initiative and to have been able to help through the power of sport. This day proved once again that there are moments when the result is secondary, while through the strength of the football community we can help together.
