Our team faced a double-header on Saturday: first a friendly against KFC Komarno in Imeľ, then one against KFC Komarno U23 in Nesvady.
The first match took place in Imeľ against KFC Komarno, who finished eighth in the Slovak top flight.
We were handed a great chance to take the lead right at the start. Noel Keresztes pounced on goalkeeper Dlubac's error in the middle, but the keeper kicked our player's leg, so a penalty was awarded. The fouled player aimed for the bottom-left corner, but Dlubac got down to save, keeping the score goalless. At the other end Bayemi caused repeated danger. In the 10th minute he shot from the inside-right channel, but Dúzs saved. Two minutes later the Cameroon winger produced a fine backheel to put Krcík through. Dúzs rushed out to the ball but could not hold it, and Bayemi reached the rebound before going down over Alex Szabó's leg, so Komarno were also awarded a penalty. The fouled player took the kick here as well: Bayemi sent it towards the bottom-right corner. Dúzs got a touch but could not keep it out (1–0). After the goal, the team in white reached our goal on another two or three occasions, usually looking for Boda with crosses, but the Slovak forward did not hit the target. After the 30th minute we took control of the match. Dlubac tipped over 16-metre efforts from Zoltán Medgyes and Benedek Simon, then after a corner Ujváry placed a shot just wide of the right corner, clipping the post as well.
After the restart Komarno doubled their lead as Krcík drove the ball into Dúzs's goal in the 52nd minute (2–0). Soon afterwards we could have pulled one back, but Medgyes's shot from the left took a deflection off a defender and went narrowly wide. At the other end Dúzs only had to deal with Masheki's header and Németh's free kick. Between the 72nd and 82nd minutes Keresztes hit the woodwork twice, first smashing the right post after an attack and then striking the crossbar from a free kick. Komarno scored their third goal in the 86th minute when Ozvolda drove towards Dúzs and shot. Our goalkeeper saved at the first attempt with one hand, but the rebound ended up in the net with the Czech midfielder's involvement (3–0).

For the second match, Tamás Feczkó fielded the other half of our travelling squad. Our opponent in Nesvady was KFC Komarno U23, preparing for the Slovak third division. We did not have to wait long for the first chance: Hetyei broke down the right, but his cross intended for Földi was cut out by Rodák. We took the lead in the 11th minute when Csontos curled a corner from the right towards the near post and Ádám Szamosiglanced it perfectly into the far corner (0-1). Two minutes later the Komarno goalkeeper was forced into another excellent save, tipping Csontos's free kick from the left over the crossbar. Hetyei then had two chances but our young forward shot wide on both occasions, before Rodak tipped a long-range Csontos effort behind in the 21st minute. Soon afterwards the match continued with chances for Dominik Földi, who had a volley, a header and then, after being played through, placed a shot just wide of the right side of the goal.
The final chance of the half came from Erik Kovács, whose shot went narrowly wide of the Komarno goal.
After the restart Komarno U23 threatened first, but Gergő Rácz saved Ganbayar's header. In the 58th minute another Csontos set piece proved decisive. This time our midfielder curled a free kick into the box from the right, and after a scramble it fell to Sebestyén Ihrig-Farkaswho scored from a few steps out (0-2). In the 67th minute our latest signing, twenty-time Hungary international Ádám Gyurcsó, made his debut. His first touch was immediately a free kick, but his attempt flew over Fuka's goal. A few minutes later Ihrig-Farkas headed a cross from the right over, while in the 78th minute Gyurcsó shot after a loose ball but sent it past the post.
Our team therefore finished the Slovak double-header with a two-goal victory, with our next stop in pre-season being Paks against the cup winners.
