Pre-season for the 2025/26 campaign has also begun for Honvéd II. Our first opponent on Saturday was English side Birmingham City U18, and the blue-and-whites recorded a one-goal victory thanks to Kian McCuster's strike.
Our second team's next match will be on Wednesday, when we host TFSE, who finished seventh in BLSZ I, in our second pre-season friendly.
Meanwhile, the schedule for the NB III South-East Group has also been published; you can find our team's programme here.

Gábor Kovács, head coach:
We played a very useful pre-season match. The players were able to experience the demands of international football first-hand. The nature of the match was greatly influenced by the fact that this was our first friendly, while they are already nearing the end of their preparation. We were able to implement many of the tactical elements we had practised during the week, particularly in the second half, at team level. We created chances around the opponent's penalty area but unfortunately could not convert them. Overall, this match served our preparation excellently and we can learn a lot from it during video analysis, as part of which our players will receive feedback on their performances both individually and as a team.
