The final match of the 2025 calendar year and the autumn season has arrived, with BVSC-Zugló visiting us at home on Sunday. The encounter has added significance because we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of one of our club’s greatest legends and the namesake of our stadium, József Bozsik. As for the visitors, Dragan Vukmir’s side most recently suffered a 2–0 defeat against Budafok, and their away record is not positive either: with one exception they have lost every match on the road and currently sit in 11th place.
Supporter information:

Head-to-head meetings:
Throughout history we have faced BVSC-Zugló in 20 NB I, 4 NB II and 3 Hungarian Cup matches. The rivalry with the yellow-and-blues has repeatedly featured periods in which the two teams met much more frequently; in addition to the 1990s, the past two and a half years also belong in that category. During the former period, Kispest won half of the sixteen top-flight meetings, and in 1996 we won the Hungarian Cup against the railwaymen.
Since the summer of 2023 we have played no fewer than seven matches against BVSC. In the summer pre-season period we won 6–1 in Zugló, but in the league we managed only a 1–1 draw at the Bozsik Aréna. That winter we scored six again in a friendly, but another league match brought dropped points. In the following season, both meetings were won by the away side: BVSC won 1–0 in Kispest through Benkő-Bíró’s goal, while this April Medgyes’s brace brought us all three points from Szőnyi Road.
BVSC-Zugló - Budapest Honvéd FC 1-2 (1-1), Merkantil Bank Liga, Round 23 - highlights
We most recently met BVSC in July in the final dress rehearsal for the league. Pekár replied at the other end to Csontos’s penalty, before Zuigeber’s spectacular strike and Baki’s header gave us a two-goal advantage in the second half. Dragan Vukmir’s side pulled one back through Csernik, but could not find an equaliser.
Budapest Honvéd FC - BVSC-Zugló 3-2, Friendly - highlights
On Sunday we close a year that has brought plenty of memorable moments and in which Tamás Feczkó’s side has already broken through many barriers. Once again, the task is to end a negative run: we have not beaten BVSC at home in six league matches, with the most recent such victory coming in 1995.
