In an excellent match, we recorded a 5-0 victory over autumn champions HR-Rent Kozármisleny in Round 18 of the Merkantil Bank Liga. Virtually everything came together in the match: Zoltán Medgyes put our team ahead relatively early, in the 14th minute; Sebestyén Ihrig-Farkas scored twice; Zsombor Bévárdi, who is awaiting the birth of his child, provided assists; and new signing Kevin Kántor marked his debut with a goal. But, as our head coach Tamás Feczkó emphasised, everyone contributed to Monday evening's success.
"We are very happy. I am pleased that every one of my players – those who took to the pitch and those who did not – was able to contribute to today's match. I feel sorry for those I could not bring on; several of them would have deserved it. I could mention Noel Keresztes or Ákos Sigér, but the same applies to the others. One positive is that we saw the stylistic elements we had worked on during the week, and I am happy that we were so effective from set pieces because that is very important in a match. It is rare for me to say that I was satisfied with almost everything, but I really saw a lot of positives. We still have room to improve because our build-up play was not good. We also need to keep the ball more in the attacking half and create more chances, but everything will not come at once, so I hope we can move step by step and give the supporters who come out to watch us many more beautiful evenings like this" – Feczkó said at the post-match press conference.
Our team visit Ajka from 15:00 on Sunday in Round 19 of the Merkantil Bank Liga.
