Our team ended the autumn half-season against BVSC-Zugló with a 3–0 victory, meaning we can look forward to the restart in early February from first place in the table. The match had added significance because November 28 marked the 100th anniversary of József Bozsik’s birth, and our supporters truly rose to the occasion: they created a magnificent tifo in the North Curve, while the ceremonial kick-off – just as at the stadium inauguration – was taken by our legend’s son, Péter Bozsik. Zoltán Medgyes was on target again against BVSC, Dominik Csontos scored from the penalty spot, while Bence Varga netted his first goal in Honvéd colours. After the match, our head coach Tamás Feczkó praised both his team and the setting.
"Our goal was to win today’s match with a confident performance. Our victory was never in danger from the first minute; we dominated the game. The difference between the two teams was evident both in the way we played and in the chances we created. I am very happy that not only the club but also the supporters commemorated József Bozsik in such a beautiful way. The way the club handles its traditions is fantastic. The tifo was fantastic, and it was good to see Péter Bozsik take the ceremonial kick-off. A club is great because it builds on its traditions. If we are building the future, we also need the glorious past. The players know very well that this club does not belong here. Day after day they do everything they can. It is good to see that everyone can celebrate success together."
