In a hard-fought match, we beat Békéscsaba 2–1 thanks to goals from Ákos Zuigeber and Ákos Baki in round 7 of the Merkantil Bank Liga and moved to the top of the table on 15 points, overtaking among others Mezőkövesd and Vasas, who have played one match fewer. After the game our head coach assessed the performance.
"The match started very well for neutral supporters, because by the eighth minute both sides had already had two chances each, although I am not particularly happy about that. Those who were here were thoroughly entertained. Full credit to Békéscsaba for approaching the match this way. There were a lot of transitions and we should have kept the ball more. After taking the lead we had the chances to finish the match, but instead of scoring the second goal we conceded at the end of the first half. The team reacted well and we wanted to score as soon as possible in the second half as well. No team has created as many chances against us as Békéscsaba did today, although that says something about both teams. I am certain they will achieve plenty of success with this style of play. It was important that we managed to win after the match in Kecskemét. Thank you to the supporters for creating a fantastic atmosphere again today" – said Tamás Feczkó.
