As is known, on Sunday our team drew 0–0 away at Szeged in Round 28 of the Merkantil Bank Liga, confirming that after three years we will once again compete in the top flight in the 2026–2027 season. After the match, our head coach reflected on the season so far.
“It feels good that we were able to bring joy to so many people. They travelled with us and created a fantastic atmosphere. So many people at the club worked to get the team back where it belongs — from the kitchen staff to the sporting director, everyone. It really was a huge collective effort, and we could only achieve it together with the supporters who stood by us all year, while the players worked sensationally throughout. Next week Vasas come to us. We want to play a derby that keeps the question open going into the final round,” – our head coach summed up after the final whistle. Tamás Feczkó highlighted that the power of the community made promotion possible: the team became a family in the dressing room, and none of it could have happened without the support of the fans.
“The fact that such a community developed in the dressing room — a real family — and that we also built such a relationship with supporters who live and breathe for the team was crucial. The team truly earned that level of support. Everyone pulled in the same direction and worked for the common goal. Last week we were still frustrated that we had lost the chance to reach the cup final, but we had to set new goals,” he added.
On Sunday from 16:00 we play our final home match of the season against Vasas FC, who have also already secured promotion, although the fight for the league title is far from over.
There is huge interest in the derby. Ticket sales have already begun and tickets are selling well, although they are still available. Let as many of us as possible get behind the team at the Bozsik Aréna!
