We suffered a 1–0 defeat in Kecskemét on Wednesday evening in the previously suspended match from round 6 of the Merkantil Bank Liga. After the game, our head coach Tamás Feczkó assessed what he had seen.
"Congratulations to the home side on the win. It was an evenly matched game that either team could have won. I think that until the home side scored, we had the bigger chances, but either we were late arriving or our crosses were poor. After the goal, the hosts also had opportunities to score a second. A decisive moment in today's match was the 'hunting down' of Zuigeber. We had to substitute one of our best players, while the man who committed it was shown a yellow card in the second minute of the second half, and it was no coincidence that the home side later had to take him off. We did not play the way we can. This team is capable of much more, and I expect more in the coming matches" – our head coach said at the post-match press conference, where he was also asked about Sunday's next fixture against Békéscsaba.
"It will not be easy, because Békéscsaba are also coming to us on the back of an upset victory. We have three days to correct our mistakes and produce the performance that has characterised the team so far" – he added, referring to the purple-and-whites' Hungarian Cup progression against Nyíregyháza.
Kecskeméti TE head coach Krisztián Tímár assessed the match as follows:
