HISTORY
– Our opponents were founded in 1989 under the name Kozármisleny SE. From 2009 they played for three years as Gold Sport-Kozármisleny SE, from 2012 as Kozármisleny FC, and since 2015 under the current name HR-Rent Kozármisleny FC.
— Kozármisleny’s squad contains two players who previously spent time in Kispest. Bence Daru and Olekszandr Koszovscsuk both came through the Magyar Futball Akadémia. Their head coach, Máté Pinezits, is also familiar to our supporters. He was in charge of our U19 team for three years and then served as Budapest Honvéd head coach for 13 matches in 2023.
— We have played 19 competitive matches against HR-Rent Kozármisleny so far. From Budapest Honvéd’s perspective the record is: 6 wins, 1 draw, 12 defeats, 20 goals scored and 32 conceded.
Hungarian Cup:
The two sides met in the Hungarian Cup in 2015, which unfortunately was not a success story for Honvéd, as the team from Baranya won 2–1 both at the Bozsik Stadium and in the return leg in Kozármisleny.
NB II:
There have been six meetings in the second tier. Between 2009 and 2011 our rivals fielded their first team in the league, while Budapest Honvéd entered its second team. In the 2023/2024 season both clubs fielded their strongest sides. In the autumn match at the Bozsik Arena, the visitors won 2–1, with Barna Benczenleitner scoring our only goal. In the spring “return leg” in Misleny, however, Kispest won 2–1 thanks to a brace from Dávid Holman.
As a reminder, the match sheet from the spring fixture
3 FEBRUARY 2024, MERKANTIL BANK LIGA, ROUND 19
HR-RENT KOZÁRMISLENY–BUDAPEST HONVÉD FC 1–2 (0–1)

Referee: Zoltán J. Kovács (Horváth Z., Bertalan D.)
Goals: Horváth P. (48), Holman (34, 79 – the first from a penalty)
Kozármisleny: Lékai – Schuszter, Gajág, Füredi, Turi – Nagy E. (Major, 85), Horváth D. – Molnár Á., Horváth P. (Tóth Z., 80), Kirchner – Daru (Vajda R., 61)

Head coach: Aurél Csertői
NB III:
The two clubs have played most often in the third tier, meeting eleven times. Honvéd fielded its second team in every game while the rivals played their strongest side, so it is no surprise that the Baranya team recorded seven victories.
It is interesting, however, that in the 2018/2019 season we completed a double, winning both matches 1–0, while in spring 2021 our team won 2–0 in Kozármisleny through goals from Kevin Török and Zalán Kerezsi. Alongside goalscorer Zalán Kerezsi, Barna Benczenleitner and Alex Szabó were also members of that team.
