Summary of the current season:
Csákvár began their eleventh consecutive season in Hungary's second division. In the autumn half of the campaign, Balázs Tóth's team mostly produced their standout results at home, beating not only us but also promotion contenders Kazincbarcika and Vasas. The picture has changed somewhat in the spring: the yellow-and-blues have ended their poor away run, winning at Gyirmót, Zugló and Békéscsaba among other places, scoring nine goals across those three matches. In the previous round they drew 1-1 with Szeged. Their leading scorer is Zoárd Nagy, who has the second-highest goal tally in the league, while Balázs Tóth is the second-longest-serving head coach in the NB II field and, incidentally, also played in Kispest during his career.
Squad:
Of Csákvár's current squad, Viktor Haragos and Aurél Farkas previously played for Honvéd, while from our side Bonifác Csonka was once a Csákvár player.
Head-to-head history:
Across all competitions, the eight Honvéd–Csákvár matches so far have produced a total of 41 goals, an average of 5.1 per match, and we have scored in every game against Csákvár.
The two sides were drawn together in the League Cup in 2014 and the goals flowed in both meetings. In the home match, Gergely Bobál scored four, while Mancini, Gazdag and Szabados also got on the scoresheet, as the match ended in a 7-3 victory for Kispest. The return in Csákvár was won 5-2 by the hosts.
In 2018 we played two friendlies against Csákvár, both at home. In the January meeting, the visitors took the lead through Sándor, but Danilo equalised before the break. The closing stages then produced three more goals: Lukács turned the score around in our favour, Sajbán replied for Csákvár, but trialist Norbert Csiki made the final score 3-2. Ten months later we again played a high-scoring match against Csákvár, but Patrik Tischler's hat-trick was not enough for victory as goals from Oroszi, Kiprich and Simon earned Csákvár a draw.
In 2023 we met Balázs Tóth's team twice in league matches in the second division. In the opening round at Csákvár, Kispest's first goal came early through Benczenleitner. The hosts responded with a Zoárd Nagy header at the start of the second half, before Zalán Kerezsi scored the winner in the 86th minute.

In the December return match we hosted our opponents at the Bozsik Arena. Goals from Babós and Tamás gave them a two-goal lead, but an own goal and a Bobál strike allowed us to keep a point at home.

We have faced Csákvár twice so far this season. In a July friendly we drew 1-1 through goals from Zoárd Nagy and Attila Lőrinczy, while in September we suffered a 3-1 defeat at the Tersztyánszky Ödön Sports Centre. Balázs Farkas scored our goal, while Szalai, Nagy and Haragos found the net for the hosts.
