During the international break we hosted Budafok, who had changed coaches during the week and sit 12th in NB II, in a friendly. We had to wait only 8 minutes for the first chance, when Ákos Baki met Csontos's corner from the right in the middle, but Dúzs saved our defender's header. A little over ten minutes later, Csontos again looked for Baki's head, this time from a free-kick. Our defender rose high but could not get a touch, and the ball still went just wide of the right corner. In the 24th minute, Szamosi struck a first-time effort from 18 metres just past the top-left corner. A few minutes later there was another Kispest chance: Pinte glanced Pauljevic's cross goalwards, but the ball ended up in Dúzs's hands, as did Baki's header three minutes later.
Budafok threatened first at the start of the second half, when Rácz pushed a long-range effort away from the bottom-right corner. Tamás Feczkó handed several players their debuts in the second half. Dominik Földi, who arrived from Paks, made his first appearance for the first team, while two of our 16-year-olds, Erik Kovács and Botond Hecler, also made their debuts. There were few chances in the latter part of the half, but all of them fell to the home side: Pekár glanced Bévárdi's free-kick just over, then after Dominik Földi's run down the left, Farkas was able to turn towards goal, but three Budafok players combined to block him. In the 86th minute we finally found the net. Pauljevic controlled Földi's cross but handled the ball, so although Erik Kovács placed his shot past Ecseri into the right corner, the goal was disallowed.
Next Sunday we return to competitive action, with Aqvital FC Csákvár visiting the Bozsik Arena on March 30.
