RTK visited Kispest in round four of the Old Boys championship. Rákosmenti TK had given MTK a serious surprise in round two, beating the blue-and-whites 4–2 away from home. There was only one, enforced change in Honvéd's line-up. With Komora ill, the evergreen Attila Plókai guarded our goal.
The match started well, and after just under a quarter of an hour Honvéd were two goals ahead. Youla scored first in the 8th minute and then again in the 14th. In the 26th minute Miklós Rajz scored our third, allowing Honvéd to go into the break with a comfortable lead.
Kispest made three changes for the second half. Csaba Tóth, Krisztián Kovács and Nemanja Andric replaced Gálvölgyi I., Lannert and Erdei. Honvéd created several chances early in the half, but we had to wait until the 53rd minute for our next goal, when Zana found the net.
The goals flowed in the remainder of the match. Youla scored in the 60th minute, Andric two minutes later, and after another three minutes Kamber beat the otherwise impressive Skravanek. Andric set the final score three minutes before the end.
In a sporting contest throughout, Honvéd BKE recorded a deserved victory. Based on the chances, the winning margin could have been even greater.
Among our rivals, MTK and Ferencváros also won at home, the former 12–2 and the latter 4–2. Honvéd BKE is the only team in the field with a perfect record.
Our next match is on October 1 against BAK FC at the BVSC ground on Szőnyi Road, kick-off at 20:40.
