Our opening goal came in the 48th minute. After a corner Balogh punched the ball out to Kalocsány, and our player smashed the rebound into the net (0–1). Unfortunately we did not lead for long. Following a counterattack, Kormányos’s header was cleared off the line, but Ádám Papp collected the ball and calmly rolled it into our net (1–1).
Head coach Gábor Kovács’s assessment:
"We started the match with an excellent approach and dominated throughout, creating many chances in the first half, but we could not take the lead. Our goal came from a rehearsed corner routine, which is pleasing because we worked on it a lot during the week. Unfortunately, the excessive celebration after the goal may have disrupted the entire team mentally and shifted the focus towards celebrating, which resulted in our opponents equalising within one minute from their first shot on target. I feel we left two points behind in Szeged. We need to work even harder in our daily training and finally get Fortuna on our side as well!"
Our team remains seventh in the South-East Group and hosts BKV Előre at home in a week’s time.
