In Round 4 of the Hungarian Cup we travel to Debrecen. We wrote in more detail about the most interesting information and key facts about the match here. Ahead of the game, we asked our experienced forward Ádám Gyurcsó about the recent period and the cup clash against DVSC.
"It is important that we keep things in perspective. We are aware that we did not perform well last week. At the same time, I don't think we as a team should be judged only on that one match, but on the whole picture. That is why I did not feel within the group that we should fall on our swords. Everyone knows it did not turn out the way we wanted. But most of the league season is still ahead of us. We have to move step by step. We will have very difficult matches both away and at home. I am sure there will be teams fighting for promotion who will drop points. We must not overvalue a fine success or an easy victory, and we must not dwell too long on matches like this one that go badly, because a few days later the next task arrives and we have to put it right" – said Ádám, who expects a good match against Debrecen, currently third in the Fizz Liga.
"We know they are a strong side. They also won confidently with good football at the weekend. Cup matches, however, always have a special edge and no game is a foregone conclusion. They will certainly take us seriously and prepare for us, just as we will for them. I expect a good match against Debrecen. We are going to Debrecen to qualify. I hope many people will come out despite it being a midweek match, and we will try to give as much as possible on the pitch." - he added, before giving a self-critical assessment of his own performances so far.
"I would like to contribute more goals and assists. I don't remember many matches in which I was satisfied with myself, but I am looking forward and want to play as big a part as possible in our successes."
