István Körtvélyesi, head coach:
Even in retrospect, I would like to thank the Szeged team for allowing us to play in such magnificent conditions. The quality of the pitch was “billiard-table quality”. Two cultured teams played against each other and everyone tried to play football. Honvéd controlled most of the match, however. In the first half we still found it harder to break down the compact defence, but the opportunities were there. In the second half our opponents pushed higher and we took the lead after just 37 seconds. From then on the chances came one after another; the only question was how accurately we could finish them. Congratulations to the team on their stable, disciplined performance and qualification. We played football and showed a mentality that set an example.
Várda Labdarúgó Akadémia U17–Budapest Honvéd FC U17 0–1 (0–0)

G: Shodunke (78.).
Viktor Petrók, head coach:
Compared with the previous week’s match, we were able to take a step forward both with the ball and without it. We were more patient, there were fewer transitions in the game, and for the most part we matched our opponents in aggression as well. To continue developing, we need to reduce the number of technical errors. Congratulations to the team on advancing!
Gyirmót SE Győr U19–Budapest Honvéd FC U19 2–2 (penalties: 3–5)
Honvéd: Papp – Balázs, Horváth Á., Csörgő, Schön, Komlósi (Ujváry, 50.), Gáspár, Kovács E. (Tarjáni, 105.), Somogyi T., Meskó (Joó, 66.), Somogyi Á.
G: Albrecht (29.), Árpási (59.), while Ujváry (51.), Somogyi T. (79.).
Márton Bogdánfi, head coach:
At the end of an extremely tight, genuine cup battle, we managed to advance on penalties against a very combative and good team. The well-organised home side took the lead twice, first from a set piece and then following a counter-attack, but we did not give up. Despite missing two penalties in normal time, we could even have decided the match in the closing stages. In extra time both teams had opportunities to turn the game in their favour, but there were no further goals.
We are the only club to have three age groups among the last eight in the Hungarian Cup.
