Our friendly against Dunaszerdahelyi AC in numbers:
Dunaszerdahelyi Atlétikai Club (DAC), which has undergone several name changes since its foundation in 1904, is also a familiar opponent in Hungarian football, especially for Budapest Honvéd. The two teams have met a total of eight times in friendly matches: six times at Bozsik Stadium and twice in Dunajská Streda. The record is: 8 matches, 3 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats. The goal difference is impressive: 23 goals scored by Honvéd and only 8 conceded.
The first meeting in the history of the fixture took place on 25 June 1964 and immediately produced Kispest's biggest-margin victory. Honvéd scored 9 goals, with club legend Lajos Tichy alone finding the net three times. That match also attracted the largest crowd, with 9,000 supporters watching the teams. It was followed by a 34-year gap, and the two clubs did not meet again until 1998. The second encounter brought another goal-filled Kispest success: Honvéd scored 7 times while DAC failed to find our net. There was another hat-trick in that match, this time by Richárd Holló. The two teams last met 10 years ago, in 2015, when Dunajská Streda won 2-0 at Bozsik Stadium.
