As is known, our team beat Kisvárda 3–0 on Sunday in the final home match of the season.
Tamás Feczkó’s team took the field severely depleted by injuries and suspensions; even our head coach and his assistant István Paulik could not help the team from the bench. Alongside academy players Gábor Megyeri and Máté Pintér, Dominik Földi and Szilveszter Hetyei also made their debuts, the latter coming on as a substitute and scoring in the 93rd minute.
"The centre-back looked up and I expected a cross-field ball, so I started my run for it. I was able to knock it into space well, and from there it was a clear chance," began our 21-year-old forward, who scored 11 goals in NB III this season.
"I am grateful to my coaches and my entire family, because I had been waiting for a very long time to play in this beautiful stadium in front of such a wonderful crowd. It fills me with enormous joy that I managed to score," –
"This was my first match, but you can clearly feel that the tempo is completely different; the players are much stronger and more dynamic. The game is much faster, but I think I will be able to cope with it in the near future. I had already been at a training camp with the team, where I was fortunate to get to know everyone; they were very welcoming and a great group has formed. Over the past few weeks I was able to work with them again, and now I managed to make my debut" – he added.
