All matches in the round kicked off earlier, so we went into the game knowing that Mezőkövesd, Vasas and Kecskemét had all won. The coaching staff were without Ákos Baki and Ádám Szamosi through injury, while Kevin Kállai was unavailable due to his four-match suspension. It quickly became clear that we would dominate possession while the Baranya side looked to counter.
The first major chance came in the 9th minute: Medgyes dribbled before playing an excellent pass to Zuigeber, whose shot was saved brilliantly by Oroszi. 'Misleny then showed why they have collected several points against top-half teams: after just over a quarter of an hour Kozics tried his luck from distance and, although Tujvel did not have to intervene, the ball flashed inches wide of the top-left corner. In the 35th minute Medgyes fired over the bar.
After the restart, the visitors had the first chance when Zamostny's free-kick went narrowly wide. In the 62nd minute Zamostny released Babinszky, who went through one-on-one, but Tujvel made a fine save. A few moments later, however, Kozics received the ball near our penalty area and, after controlling it, shot towards goal. The ball deflected off Csonka, who was trying to block, and flew into Tujvel's net (0–1). Pressure on the visitors' goal increased after that: in the 72nd minute Nyers won the ball with a successful press, Ujváry crossed it into the middle and Medgyes, with a spectacular acrobatic finish that gave Oroszi no chance, found the bottom-right corner (1–1). In the 78th minute the visitors launched another dangerous counterattack. After Dominik Kocsis's through ball, Botond Herczeg put Zsóri Dánielt through on goal and although Ujváry recovered, the ball deflected into the right corner after the block (1–2). Next Saturday from 14:00 we travel to Mezőkövesd for the derby of the following round.

Sándor Fórizs, sporting director:
“We started the match well and had three chances in the first half, which unfortunately we could not convert. We began the second half with another opportunity. The opposition had one big chance, which Tomás Tujvel saved brilliantly, but from the corner that followed we unfortunately conceded from a deflected shot. We managed to respond and equalised. I believed we could turn the match around, but unfortunately we conceded again from another deflected shot and it became 2–1. We made substitutions and hoped we could score one or more goals, but unfortunately that did not happen today.”
Mátyás Czuczi, head coach:
“First of all, I am very proud of my players because I think we have come away from an NB I club, a team virtually certain to win promotion, with all three points. At the start of the match our goalkeeper kept us in it, but in the second half my staff and I managed to respond well to the game. We came out in a way that gave us the chance to turn the match in our favour and take the three points."
