Following our introduction of Atalanta, we continue presenting the teams taking part in the Honvéd Cup. Spartak Moscow are Russia's most successful club with 22 league titles. Admittedly, the capital side collected most of their trophies from the late 1980s through to the early 2000s. The red-and-whites have also made their mark in Europe, boasting almost 250 matches across the two major international cup competitions: 122 appearances in the Champions League and 114 in the Europa League or their predecessor competitions.
This time, the U15 side will be led in Kispest by the talented young coach Alexander Ivanstov, who normally takes charge of the U16s. Nobody should be misled: the Russian team are not sending older players to the tournament either; because of the spring–autumn competition format, players born in 2011 belong to this age group. The Moscow side were drawn in three-team Group B alongside Atalanta BC and NK Maribor.
