Tamás Feczkó made one change from the side that beat Tatabánya 4-1, with Dávid Holman replacing Dominik Csontos, who was absent through illness, in the starting line-up.
The first chance came in the fifth minute, when Patrik Pinte's long-range effort went wide of the top-left corner. Seven minutes later Ihrig-Farkas glanced Hangya's cross over. In the 14th minute we launched an excellent counterattack down the left. Holman found Zoltán Medgyes, who shot right-footed from 13 metres between two defenders. Lékai saved the first effort but had no chance with the rebound, as our forward finished right-footed into the visitors' net to give us the lead with his fourth league goal of the season (1-0). Even after going ahead we controlled the match and did not allow our opponents to create a chance. In the 29th minute the gap increased to two. Bévárdi picked out Medgyes from a corner routine, he rolled the ball back to Holman, who delicately lifted it into the middle first time, and Ihrig-Farkas headed expertly into the left side of the goal from 11 metres (2-0).
Before the break Lékai had to stay alert to Ihrig-Farkas's chances. First the Kozármisleny goalkeeper held our forward's header after Pinte's cross from the left, then he also had to save at the near post from a ball driven in from the right.
The blue-and-whites' goalkeeper was busy again soon after the restart. First he had to punch away Medgyes's cross from a tight angle, then he made a fine save from Alex Szabó's 17-metre strike. The third goal arrived in the 64th minute. Bévárdi swung a corner from the left to the far post, Alex Szabó headed the ball back into the middle and Ihrig-Farkas nodded his second and our team's third goal into the right corner from a few steps out (3-0). It was not only our third goal of the day: Ihrig-Farkas was also scoring for the third time in this league campaign. The visitors responded immediately with a long-range shot, but Kócs-Washburn's rocket smashed against the crossbar, and a few minutes later Tujvel saved substitute Lacza's right-footed effort. Apart from that, the visitors were unable to create a chance, while alongside our attacking play our defending was flawless on the day. Kevin Kántor came on as a substitute in the 82nd minute, the 24-year-old forward making his red-and-black debut and almost producing an assist straight away. After Pekár won the ball, our young defender exchanged passes with Kántor and, having been forced slightly wide, aimed narrowly past the bottom-left corner. If the assist did not come off, Kevin Kántor instead made his first senior match in Hungary memorable with a goal. In the 86th minute he burst to the near post to meet Bévárdi's corner from the left and expertly glanced it into the far corner (4-0). Our team did not slow down after the fourth goal. After Vernes won possession he immediately played the ball to the right, Bévárdi sprinted down the flank and crossed towards Kántor, but Zalán Átrok, trying to clear in front of him, blasted the ball into the top-right corner. Our loan player's own goal made it 5-0.
The score did not change during the two minutes of added time. We passed the test with flying colours, recording a five-goal victory over Kozármisleny, who had gone into the winter break top of the table, and on Sunday we continue our league campaign in Ajka.
Tamás Feczkó's assessment after the match: "We are very happy. I am pleased that every one of my players – those who took to the pitch and those who did not – was able to contribute to today's match. I feel sorry for those I could not bring on; several of them would have deserved it. I could mention Noel Keresztes or Ákos Sigér, but the same applies to the others. One positive is that we saw the stylistic elements we had worked on during the week, and I am happy that we were so effective from set pieces because that is very important in a match. It is rare for me to say that I was satisfied with almost everything, but I really saw a lot of positives. We still have room to improve because our build-up play was not good. We also need to keep the ball more in the attacking half and create more chances, but everything will not come at once, so I hope we can move step by step and give the supporters who come out to watch us many more beautiful evenings like this"
