Kevin Sydney Kántor was born on 3 October 2000 in Cuneo, Italy. Before moving abroad, the 24-year-old forward developed in the youth system of Kaposvári Rákóczi, at the Bene Ferenc Football Academy. After leaving the Somogy club, he first played in Italy for affiliate youth sides of AS Roma and then AC Milan. He signed his first senior contract with Atletico Vescovio before moving to Monte Spertoli, where he won the Tuscan Cup and the league with the team. He then moved to Switzerland, where he played for AC Taverne, Colina D’Oro and, most recently, Malcantone.
"When making my decision, I liked the project the club presented to me. I am aware that Honvéd has one of the greatest histories and fan bases in Hungary. I hope the coach gives me an opportunity as soon as possible and that I can prove to everyone that I can be of great help to the team in the future" - Kántor told the club's official website.
