We are delighted to announce that we have exercised the option included in the contract and extended Kevin Kántor’s deal, which was due to expire on 30 June, by two years. Kevin joined our team in the winter and quickly had a major impact on both our play and our results. In the home league match against Kozármisleny, he came on as a substitute in the 81st minute and needed only six minutes to mark his Honvéd debut with a goal.
“Ever since I joined Honvéd, every night I kept thinking that I wanted to score on my debut” – our forward told our official website after the February match, adding that it was a huge joy for him when the supporters chanted his name.

But he was not satisfied with that. In the following home league match against Soroksár, again coming on as a substitute, he put the icing on the cake with an overhead kick worth three points.

Against Csákvár he was already able to run out at the Bozsik Aréna as a member of the starting eleven and repaid Tamás Feczkó’s trust with an assist. He then contributed another assist to the comeback against BVSC, and a goal plus an assist to the win over Gyirmót. His excellent form continued: his “half-season tally” ultimately stopped at four goals and four assists, while his play carried a constant threat throughout. He also had goals disallowed in Szentlőrinc, Ajka and Mezőkövesd.
