Honvéd BKA played at home in round 6 of the Old Boys championship. Our side hosted newcomers B&K Mélykút at the MFA Youth Centre. The match brought a goalscoring duel between Youla and Kamber that ended 2-2, but nobody was disappointed about that.
Playing their usual game, Honvéd took control from the start and built a two-goal lead inside ten minutes. In the ninth minute Kamber dribbled into the penalty area and then blasted the ball over the goalkeeper's head from 12 metres (1-0). Two minutes later Kamber was again one of the main figures. After a fine move, Youla converted Kamber's pass (2-0).
A quieter spell in terms of goals followed, although the crowd was not bored because our team played attractive football. The next Kispest goal came in the 31st minute. From the inside-right channel, Kamber hit a running shot into the near top corner (3-0).
After the break Zoltán Máj replaced Attila Plókai. Midway through the second half Honvéd made two more substitutions, first Krisztián Kovács and then Miklós Csabankó came on, replacing István Gálvölgyi and Csaba Tóth respectively. In the 73rd minute our leading scorer Souleymane Youla set the final score. Our striker drove at the goalkeeper, took the ball around him and then rolled Kispest's fourth goal into the empty net (4-0).
We played better in the first half and that was reflected in the goals. After the break we played in a more relaxed manner and squandered several chances. Honvéd deservedly won, and regardless of the rivals' results, remain top of the table with a perfect record. MTK kept the three points at home by beating Pénzügyőr, while Ferencváros play RTK this evening.
Our next match is on October 14 at 19:30 against ISSIMO at the Vasgolyó Street ground.
