As previously reported, István Körtvélyesi has taken charge of our second team, assisted by our former standout player Ivan Lovric as first-team coach. The Körtvélyesi–Lovric coaching duo were already in charge of our NB III side for Wednesday’s home match against Szegedi VSE.
Dominik Forró gave us the lead in the 15th minute, and just over ten minutes later Nemanja Milencovici found the net against the side from Csongrád. But that was far from the end of the excitement: Dominik Hancz scored twice within three minutes, sending us into the break with a commanding four-goal lead.
Hancz struck again after half-time, taking his tally for the 2026–27 season to five goals. Newly arrived attacking midfielder Asier García also got on the scoresheet, scoring his first goal for Honvéd. After Dominik Kovács added another, Kornél Kiss pulled one back for the visitors. Márk Szelényi then put the finishing touch on the performance in the 84th minute to complete the 8–1 win.
Our second team next play on Sunday at 11 a.m., when we host Monor SE at the academy.
