The forward, who is just 17, joined our academy from UTE’s youth setup in summer 2023. He quickly became a key player for our age-group sides before making his first-team debut against BVSC-Zugló at just 16 years and 111 days old.
Last season he made five competitive appearances in the Merkantil Bank Liga and contributed a goal to our cup victory over Móri SE. He also played an important role in our U19 side, scoring 17 goals across all competitions for Márton Bogdánfi’s team.
Our player started the season with the second team, with Gábor Kovács naming him in the starting line-up against both Békéscsaba and Szeged. He will now spend the remainder of the campaign in Fehérvár, alongside Teó Balázs.
As we reported earlier, Erik Kovács recently extended his contract with our club by three years. That extension shows that we see our young player as part of the club’s long-term plans. At the same time, joining Videoton FC Fehérvár offers Erik an opportunity to continue developing, gain experience, take the next step and secure appropriate playing time.
