Zsolt Laczkó has been in charge of Budapest Honvéd FC’s first team since Monday, so the head-coach duties with the second team will now be carried out by former assistant coach Gábor Kovács. Alongside the new head coach, fitness coach Marcell Likár and video analyst Bence Pintér will continue their work, goalkeeping coach Lajos Hegedűs remains part of the staff, and from now on our legend Ivan Lovric, who retired this summer and works at our academy as a coach responsible for individual development, will also assist Gábor Kovács.
Because of the MOL Hungarian Cup, our second team will not play a competitive match this week. The youngsters will play a friendly against DVTK II on Friday (behind closed doors), then on Wednesday, 28 August they host Tiszaföldvár at the Honvéd-MFA Youth Centre in the NB III South-East Group.
