Although the sports press reported days ago that Ábel Krajcsovics was leaving our club, as of today he is officially no longer part of our organisation.
Ábel was born in Debrecen and joined the Honvéd academy in 2019 after leaving DVSC. From U16 level onwards he appeared for all of our teams, and in January 2023 he made his NB I debut against Újpest. Across all competitions he made 34 competitive appearances for our first team in total, including three NB I matches and three Hungarian Cup games. He began the 2024–25 season in Kispest before continuing his career on loan at Zalaegerszeg, and he also played for the blue-and-whites during the current campaign. After the loan ZTE acquired his playing rights permanently and then transferred him to Újpest.
Alongside Krajcsovics, Ákos Szabó is also leaving our club. Ákos arrived in 2019 from our partner club Ikarus BSE and essentially progressed through the academy ranks from our U13 team before making his first-team debut in the league match against Tatabánya. We would have liked to keep our defender, but in the hope of more playing time he ultimately decided to sign for Szeged-Csanád Grosics Akadémia.
We wish Ábel and Ákos every success in the rest of their careers!
