A crucial match awaits our team on Sunday as we host second-placed Mezőkövesd, who currently sit one point ahead of us in the table. We are still unbeaten at the Bozsik Aréna, and there is no doubt we will take the field with extra motivation after the events of recent weeks. The task could hardly be much tougher at this stage of the season, however, as Kövesd also arrive in good form: they have won five of their last seven league matches.

History of matches between the clubs:
We have played 26 competitive matches against Mezőkövesd so far.
Most of our meetings with the Matyó side have come in NB I. One of the most memorable took place in 2017, when we came from a goal down to win 5–1 away to the Borsod side, before our club celebrated its 14th league title at the end of the season.
The two teams also met in the Hungarian Cup final in 2020. Pekár László cancelled out Nesterov’s own goal, but Djordje Kamber’s header ultimately decided the destination of the trophy.
