We are delighted to announce that Gellért Dúzs has signed a contract with our club until the summer of 2027, with an option for a further year. The Salgótarján-born goalkeeper joined our academy in February 2016 and immediately had the chance to prove himself as the U14 team's first-choice goalkeeper: he played in all 15 league matches in his first season.
His development remained uninterrupted thereafter. He progressed through every level of the academy before making his NB III debut in the 2019–20 season. One campaign later he was already on the bench as a member of the NB I squad, and in February 2023, on his birthday, he made his first-team debut in Mezőkövesd.
Last season he featured primarily in the MOL Hungarian Cup, where his performances played a major part in our team reaching the semi-finals. Across all competitions, Dúzs has made 45 competitive appearances for Honvéd's first team.

With this extension, Dúzs has in a short period become the fourth player in the first-team squad after Alex Szabó, István Pekár and Ádám Szamosi who developed at our academy in previous years.
