In the final match of the season, we hosted Budaörs at the Bozsik Aréna. Before this game, we had played Ferenc Horváth's side only once in a competitive fixture: in Round 11 of the league, we won 3–0 at the Budaörsi Városi Stadion thanks to a brace from Fanni Vachter and a goal from Rebeka Róth.
We came close to taking the lead as early as the fourth minute: Eszter Czinege fired a shot from the corner of the six-yard box, but the ball came back off the right post. Although we had more possession and the game was being played in the visitors' half, we could not convert our chances: the ball either struck the woodwork or was saved by the Budaörs goalkeeper. In the 16th minute, Simona Horváthová took a free-kick and Eszter Czinege glanced it on, but visiting keeper Imola Németh tipped the ball away from under the crossbar. In the 26th minute, however, the deadlock was finally broken: Horváthová delivered a corner into the middle and, although the Budaörs defenders managed to clear, the loose ball fell to Szalay Gyöngyvér arrived and calmly rolled the ball into the net (1–0). The goals then started to come in quick succession: Czinege Eszter scored twice within three minutes to triple our advantage (3–0). It is worth noting that she also scored twice in April in a friendly against Budaörs. Our player has now scored her fifth competitive goal in Honvéd colours. Late in the first half, Simona Horváthová produced a superb delivery onto the head of Vachter Fanni who nodded into the net without hesitation (4–0), so we could go into the break in a commanding position. In the second half, our head coach Balázs Dörnyei made several changes, giving minutes to players who had previously had fewer opportunities. Luck was not on our side, however: although we created several chances after the restart, our shots were mostly denied by the woodwork, so we were unable to increase our lead further.
Our women's team ultimately finished the league in seventh place with 29 points, just one point behind Újpest. The league season may be over, but the work does not stop. Thank you to our supporters for your backing throughout the year — see you next season!

Balázs Dörnyei, head coach: “We did a lot to make this a convincing win. The match started in a similar way to our recent games, perhaps with even more opportunities to take the lead; we could have been two or three, even four goals up in the first 15 minutes. Once again, the ball simply did not want to go in — we really tried every possible way. The team was very disciplined tactically in the first half. We broke the deadlock midway through the half, and from then on things became easier for us. We had chances in the second half as well, perhaps not as many as in the first, and we had fewer dangerous set pieces. The second half just flowed along, rather like the rain in the meantime.”
Eszter Czinege: “We played today's match with a very clear purpose and with a real attacking intent. We knew there were opportunities for us inside the box and that their defending was a little weaker at the far post, so we tried to make sure our attackers always arrived there.”
