Drawn in a group with the Faroe Islands and Georgia, Greece go into the match in good form: with three wins they lead their qualifying group and have already mathematically secured promotion to League B. The teams face each other home and away in the group stage, and Greece recorded a three-goal home victory over Georgia at the beginning of March.
The results of the 2025 UEFA Women's Nations League determined the league allocations for the European qualifying system for the 2027 World Cup, while the final group standings decide promotion and the subsequent classifications.
“I was delighted to receive the national-team call-up for this camp. It is a great honour for me to be part of the national team and represent my country. I have played 39 times for the national team so far, and every single occasion when I can wear the national shirt means a great deal to me. We want to win the match against Georgia and finish the campaign with four wins from four. We are fully focused on the game and will do everything we can to achieve a good result.” – our player said ahead of the national-team camp.
Congratulations to our player, and we wish her every success!
