The Kispest Football Support Association recognised the best performers of the 2025 calendar year in five categories and also honoured two additional outstanding careers.

Yesterday evening, the Kispest Football Support Association held its traditional awards ceremony at Kispesti Futball Ház. The event – attended by every member of the first team and several club executives – began with welcoming remarks from Tibor Koncsik, president of KLTE.

“A warm welcome to everyone present. On this festive evening, we celebrate those who represented Kispest football with distinction over the past calendar year through their work, attitude and performance” – said the president.

Our players were recognised in five categories, and two lifetime achievement awards were also presented, including one posthumous honour.

Puskás Award – Youth Player of the Year

In recent years, talents such as Kristóf Herjeczki, Szabolcs Schön, Noel Keresztes and Ádám Nyers have received the Puskás Award for Youth Player of the Year. In 2025, the award went to Czinki Dávid, who stood out in his age group as a goalkeeper through his performances and attitude. The award was presented by Attila Szopcsák, a member of the KLTE board.

Nándor Bányai Award – Junior Player of the Year

Previous recipients of the Nándor Bányai Award include Bálint Vécsei, Gergő Nagy, Gergely Bobál, Dániel Gazdag and Noel Keresztes. This year's Junior Player of the Year was Ujváry Ferenc, who despite his young age has already made several appearances for the first team. His dynamic, quick play soon drew attention.

József Nemes Award – Breakthrough of the Year

Previous recipients of the József Nemes Award include András Debreceni, Patrik Hidi, Bálint Vécsei, Gergő Nagy, Dániel Gazdag, Dávid Bobál, Zalán Kerezsi and Gellért Dúzs. In 2025, the József Nemes Award went to Szamosi Ádám. Ádám burst onto the scene this season, repaying the trust placed in him with goals and assists. Although he suffered a serious shoulder injury at Soroksár, he was able to start the spring season at full strength. The award was presented by Kálmán Kaszás, vice-president of KLTE and chronicler of our club.

Tichy Award – Kispest Goal of the Year

One of the highlights of the evening was the Kispest Goal of the Year award. Previous winners include Patrik Hidi, Donát Zsótér, Attila Lőrinczy, Zalán Kerezsi and Dániel Gazdag, with the latter winning the prize twice.

Kispest supporters can remember many great goals, including Dominik Csontos's strike in Tatabánya or Branko Pauljevic's thunderbolt against Kisvárda, but the top two places were claimed by the same player. This year's Tichy Award winner was Kántor Kevin. The award was presented by Tibor Koncsik, president of KLTE.

Bozsik Award – Senior Player of the Year

The Bozsik Award for Senior Player of the Year recognises exemplary conduct and outstanding performance. Previous recipients include Szabolcs Kemenes, Patrik Hidi, Márton Eppel, Davide Lanzafame, Tomáš Tujvel, Gellért Dúzs and Zalán Kerezsi. This year's Bozsik Award was received to loud applause by Medgyes Zoltán, with Tibor Koncsik presenting the honour.

In addition, two legends who are no longer active footballers but made a lasting contribution to Kispest football were also honoured.

Lifetime Achievement Award – Posthumous honour

Every year KLTE presents two Lifetime Achievement Awards, one of which recognises the work of someone who is no longer with us. This year the board honoured Szűcs Nándor for his contribution. He served Kispest football as a team manager, coach and sports executive. At Kispesti AC and later Kispest FC, he worked in management as football director, vice-president and head of department. He was the man who visited the local pitches, discovered talents and set careers in motion. Among the legends he discovered for Kispest football were József Bozsik, Ferenc Puskás, Andor Ónody and the Olajkár brothers.

Lifetime Achievement Award – Sándor Sallai

The other recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award was Sándor Sallai, a defining figure of Kispest's golden team of the 1980s. In Kispest colours he was part of five league titles and two cup victories, and he also represented the national team 55 times.

Heartfelt congratulations to all the award recipients!
