We recorded a 2–1 victory away to Vasas FC on Monday evening, meaning that after 14 rounds we can look forward to the continuation from the top of the table. Our first goal was scored by Zoltán Medgyes, who found the net again after the match against Mezőkövesd, registering his fourth goal of the season. We spoke to our 30-year-old forward after the game.
"We had players missing, but that is why there are more of us in the squad. I think everyone who got their opportunity today proved they can be counted on at any time. We wanted to play our own football; I do not think we deliberately surrendered territory to Vasas. They play good football, it is difficult to keep possession and build attacks against them, but I am happy we managed to win. I think we are capable of playing better than this, and hopefully we will already play even better in the next match. The team once again showed how much it can fight for one another, for the club and for the supporters. Tuki saved a penalty in the second minute; a huge weight came off our shoulders and we felt then that we had to win this. I am very happy I managed to score because I owed the team goals and assists. At half-time we talked things through, tried to put more pressure on Vasas and kept fighting until the final minutes. That is what ultimately enabled us to win the match."
