János Fürstner, a centre-forward promoted from the Kispesti AC youth team, took part in KAC’s Transylvanian tour. After returning home, he visited Dezső Wigh, head of the football section, and handed over the pocket money he had received for the tour, asking that the money be used to have football shorts made for the youth team. His former teammates had been playing in patched shorts.

On April 21, 2000, the Újpest FC–Kispest-HFC derby was held on Szőnyi út because the MLSZ disciplinary committee had closed the Megyeri út ground after assistant referee János Ring had been struck by a stone during Újpest’s match against Dunaferr.
Once again the organisers were not on top of the situation, as after the goalless draw a full-scale fistfight broke out on the pitch between Újpest and Kispest supporters.
Kispest-HFC lined up as follows: Vezér – Medgyesi, Lőrinc, Farkas – Dubecz, Pintér, Szabó T., Téger, Szekeres Zs. (Füzi 61.) – Faragó, Horváth.
The team’s head coach was István Reszeli Soós.
